  Incumbent Mayor holds significant lead among decided voters

  (October 10, 2007)

 

A survey of 400 randomly selected Calgarians suggests that the incumbent Mayor, David Bronconnier, holds a significant lead in the upcoming municipal election.  Among decided voters, 88% would elect Bronconnier if the election was held tomorrow.

 

The closest rival, Alnoor Kassam, was chosen by 9% of decided voters.

 

Critical issues for the election include transportation, crime and affordable housing.

 

The survey was conducted between September 28, 2007 and October 3, 2007.
